this was one of those weeks where i felt like i was drowning . all week long .
it was busy, stressful, enjoyable . all at the same time .
and now i'm here at the weekend, so thankful for a day to take a bit of a break and refocus . october is going to be such a good month, i can feel it . i love october & i love weekends .
highlights of this week >> i had a poster to make, so i took advantage of it and spent an evening painting . (painting is my stress-relief . i pop in worship music, drink coffee, and let everything else fade away . it clears my mind like nothing else .) mostly, the best part of my week was surviving it and making guacamole at the end . it's been way too long since my last guac party .
"there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus . for the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death . for God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do . by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us . . . for to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace ." [ romans 8 ]
so thankful for the freedom & peace of the gospel today . thank you, Jesus, for the cross .
this month, i'm taking a step back from my normal routine . i'm reevaluating a lot of what i do, and why i do it . i'm praying about the future and the next steps i need to take to prepare for that future . . . some of it might make the cut and get shared here on the blog, some might not . either way, be prepared for some great stories of what God is doing this month . i'm expecting great things .
